In Lutsk local hippodrome there was the first in Ukraine tournament in unusual kind of sports – disc golf. Twenty five participants competed including sportsmen from other regions of Ukraine.

The first competition was last year. There were just a few members, but two foreigners participated. They taught the locals the rules of the game.

Sportsmen throw the disks from different distance – 40 and 190 meters. The manager of the championship – Bogdan Alekseev, is a records man of Ukraine in 106 meters Frisbee throw. Moreover, he is intended to develop this kind of sports in the town. They are going to hold a tournament in August. So Lutsk has the chances to become the Ukrainian disc golf capital.
