The locals of a British village South Stock saved their favorite pub from closing. They collected one million pounds and bought the building of 15th century, where it was located.

Six years ago the owners sold the pub to the great company which was intended to build an apartment complex there. Around 500 people collected more than a million of pounds. After that , they renovated the building and cleaned up the mess in the yard.

On 18 March the pub was officially reopened. 80 year old Brayan Perkings, who was born in the building before it became a pub, held the ceremony. He told he visited it every week and was very upset when he found out that the apartment complex would replace the pub.
