French president Emmanuel Macron adopted a bill on education – children will go to school at the age of three. The reformation deals with the degree of education in poor parts of the country where children of an early age do not go to schools. Today, according to governmental information, just 2.5% of kind of such age do not visit educational institutions.

Earlier, the official age for entering schools was six.

Early education is a tradition in France as since the 19th century parents sent their children to so-called ‘maternal schools’ at the age of three. They were the prototypes of todays’ kindergartens, where kids prepare to study at school.

The curriculum includes playing games, singing songs, learning how to speak, read. They also paint, have musical classes and some PE.

When the pupils are 5-6 y.o. they have Math and Literature.

Besides, psychologists work a lot with the children – they teach them to communicate with others and pay attention to their mental health.
