The representatives of independent police officers union of Poland from Lublin voivodeship visited Kovel. Here they look after the graves of their colleagues who died and were killed during the First and the Second World Wars.

Earlier the graves were neglected. However, now they are tidy. Thanks to the Kovel local historians they managed to identify 27 graves of Polish police officers buried there during 1919-1939. Apart from Kovel, the independent union of Polish police officers looks after the burials in Luboml. They established a memorial sign there honoring all the deceased, too.
