Verkhovna Rada adopted a bill that allowing organ transplantation after the donor’s death. 255 of people’s deputies voted for it. The transplantation is possible only if the donor signed special documents when he was alive. A mark that shows that person’s organs may safe someone’s life will be put into a passport or a driver’s license. Besides, the potential donor may choose a person who will decide whether his or her organs may be used as donations.

In the lifetime, everyone who is more than 18 years old may donate organs, apart from pregnant women, prisoners and the ill. If the bill is adopted by the speaker of the parliament and the president of Ukraine, the new rules will come into force in 2019.
