51 people died in 2017 because of neglecting safety rules on waters. Among them – six people. This is one of the highest indicators in Ukraine for the last years.

For five month of this year, eleven people have died on waters already.

All in all in Volyn region there are 45 official vacation spots on ponds, rivers and lakes where there are rescuers. But still, there exist “beaches” with no buoys. The head of regional administration pointed out that this problem should be solved as soon as possible at local level.
