On 14 May World health organization introduced a new plan of trans fatty acids liquidation. Basically they propose more counties to join the project and disperse the movement all over the world.

Industrial trans fatty acids such as margarine and plant fats are very popular among food production. They are cheaper and have prolonged shelf life. At the same time they cause health problems. According to WHO data, last year more than 500 000 people died because of it. NYC prohibited using trans fatty acids containing products in food establishments. They were replaced by healthy ones without taste impairment.
