The founder of FaceBook social network Mark Zuckerberg apologized to American congressional representatives before testimony procedure in Senate. This way he wanted to prevent severe regulations of the social network because of 87 million users’ personal data leakage.

Nowadays there are evidence of democratic rules violations by FaceBook. The investigations proved that the company knew about data leakage. The personal information then was used  for manipulations with Brexit and presidential elections in the USA.

If Zuckerberg does not answer all the questions, the Senate will set new bills regulating his social network. Besides, the company will have to explain the users what kind of data they share with the social network in more detail now.
