National bank of Ukraine informs that tabacco products price increases in 18%, alcohol – in 11% because of government intention to raise excise taxes as a part of European integration.

In NBU January inflation report it is said that price increase will be gradual.

In December the government adopted necessary for budget balancing reforms to tax code, so the law proves a tax rates increase in ecology, subsoil usage and rent for the special use of water and forest resources.

Price increase will continue until Ukraine reaches the minimal standard of excise duties of Europe, such as 90 Euros for 1000 units of tabacco products.
